Art Journal January kicks off in just a few days and I think I am feeling a bigger build up than I did for Christmas.
Are you ready for Art Journal January?
it doesn’t matter if you’ve never tried art journaling before, I haven’t either so we can be bad together. Anyway, it’s all about the process and the enjoyment of creation. At least that’s what I am going to say if my art doesn’t work out as I hope. But seriously, there is no reason to feel daunted or intimidated. As long as you enjoy it, that’s all that matters. You don’t have to share your work if you don’t want to, but it would be great if you do.
If you’re an experienced art journaller I’m looking forward to seeing what you create and hopefully picking up some tips too. I’ve created a Pinterest board of some of the amazing work I’ve found online. The variety of styles is in incredible, it’s pure eye candy
Create more in the new year
It feels quite apt that our first challenge is kicking off on the 1st January. I feel a little bit like someone who has decided to start getting fit in the New Year. I’ve got the equivalent of new sneakers (art journal), the trendy new fitness top (brush pen) but I’m still lounging on the sofa and thinking rather about art than creating any. Plus, I just ate a burger, I can’t think of an art equivalent of that, but it wouldn’t be good.
What are you hoping to get from Art Journal January?
There are lots of reasons to get involved. Maybe you just want to start creating more art, or test out some new styles or materials. Maybe you want to express yourself in a different way or use it to improve your emotional well-being. Whatever reasons you’ve got we look forward to seeing what you create.
If you’re stuck for inspiration
And if you get stuck we’ve created a prompt for every day of the challenge. Check them out below.
